Bio

Hilary Jean’s visual breakdown of people as “piles of shapes walking around” is a catalyst for her raw, self-taught style. She is an abstract artist with a strong pursuit in sculpting and sketching. Her study of form began in the Canadian rockies, in a repurposed schoolhouse serving as a studio. Today, she resides in Texas, creating a range of work from large-scale, full body pieces, to delicate small-scale faces. Her pieces are found in private collections worldwide and she participates in solo, duo and group shows at multiple galleries and art museums.
